About A Girl Called CHIDINMA

Hello and welcome here. My name is Chidinma. I have a feeling we're going to be great friends, so I'd  like you to refer to me as Nma.

WHAT IS CHIDINMA

CHIDINMA is a popular name given to males (very few) and females from the south eastern part of Nigeria (Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states) who are characterized by the Igbo culture. The name CHIDINMA simply means "GOD IS GOOD". Literally, it's meaning is as it is spelt and pronounced; CHI(God) - DI(is) - NMA(Good). Some might spell it as CHIDIMMA but it is still the same name and has the same meaning. However NMA, which I prefer to be called and which is obviously coined from the last three letters of CHIDINMA means more than just "good". It could be used to refer to pretty, beauty, beautiful, fine, nice etc. It is basically used to describe something or someone that is loved or appreciated. ABOUT ME (A LITTLE BIOGRAPHY)

I come from a family of eight (8) children and I am the 7th child, the 5th of six girls. Get it?
I studied biochemistry at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Anambra State Nigeria. I am yet to go for my youth service but I'm hoping that by the time you're reading this, I would have gone and possibly be done with it.
I love writing (hence this blog). I also love traveling. I haven't travelled out of the country yet, but I'd love to. I have however been to a few states in Nigeria like Imo State (my state of origin), Anambra state (I schooled there), Rivers state, Benue state, Fct (I live here), Lagos (when I was way younger), Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi and Kogi states. I have seen a little of Edo, Delta, Nasarawa and Kaduna states also.
I love reading. Okay let me be specific, I love reading romance novels. Some of my favorite authors are Heather Graham (best in historical romance like bride of the wind & forever my love), Penelope Douglas (best in bad boys romance like Courrpt & Punk 57), Carian Cole (best in age gap romance like Torn & Don't kiss the bride). I think reading a lot of romance has done it's thing on me because I am currently writing a romance novel of my own. Will be sharing it with you as soon as it's ready. ABOUT In Her YOUTH

Like I said earlier, I love to write. In Her YOUTH came to life because I wanted to start sharing my thoughts and experiences that I usually write down with the hopes that it reaches and helps young persons who struggle with finding themselves and want to grow and live better.

For most part of my life, I have always hated been referred to as "BLACK" or "DARK". I even hated it when people referred to me as a "black beauty". My issue was, why can't you appreciate my beauty without saying black. I mean there are a lot of fair beautiful girls but they are never referred to as "fair beauty" when they are been complimented. So why is it different with the black skinned girls? I however got to understand that many people attach black with ugly, so it's "abnormal" that someone who's black is also beautiful hence there's this need to add "black" before beautiful.
