The Beauty Of A Black Skin

For most part of my life, I have always hated been referred to as "BLACK" or "DARK". I even hated it when people referred to me as a "black beauty". My issue was, why can't you appreciate my beauty without saying black. I mean there are a lot of fair beautiful girls but they are never referred to as "fair beauty" when they are been complimented. So why is it different with the black skinned girls? I however got to understand that many people attach black with ugly, so it's "abnormal" that someone who's black is also beautiful hence there's this need to add "black" before beautiful. It's like saying this person is black but she's beautiful? In other words, "it is rare".
Anyway, I have gotten over that. Honestly because I realized that some people do genuinely appreciate your beauty regardless of the "black" being said.
Alot of people have also made some very unappreciated comments about my complexion. These comments have always ranged from...
‌"Blackie" (I still haven't gotten to make sense this one anyway)
‌"You're black o"
‌"See how you're black"
‌"You're Igbo and your black?"
‌"Igbo girls are mostly fair, how are you dark?"
Whoever characterized a tribe by complexion? Busy yourself with that.
Thinking now about the reply I used to give them, I weep 😂. Like how could I have been so feeble minded. I however, acknowledge that I was younger and didn't know better. Now I look at myself in the mirror and appreciate how beautiful my skin is and I am so glad I surpassed all that bullshit.
Lately, I'm mostly lost on social media admiring dark skinned women who are so in love with their skin and I can only hope to one day get to the stage of skin love that they're at.
Some of the dark skinned beauties I admire are:
1. RUTH WAZIRI / Ruddiyeh
I follow her on Instagram and YouTube. I am so in love with her. She's a beauty to behold.
2. LINDA OSIFO
Another amazing beauty I am in love with. She's a wonderful actor with a beautiful black skin.
3. TOLU BALLY | Tbally
She's so beautiful, it's mind blowing. Her skin and body are on another level.

The way these ladies pride in their dark skin? OMG! As opposed to many others who try to change their complexion, these ladies flaunt it and it's so beautiful to see.

So if you are one of those people with a retarded mentality that always make stupid comments about a dark skin, well.... GROW UP.

Please share with me in the comments other black skinned ladies/women that you admire. I'd also love to read about your experiences as a dark skinned girl.
